Canadian credit unions and caisses populaires play a vital role in the Canadian financial landscape. Their support for individuals and small businesses help drive Canada’s economic engine and provide resources directly to the communities they serve. However, to date, little independent research has been written about the entire credit union system.

This website is devoted to providing independent analysis of the financial condition of the Canadian credit union movement and highlights many of movement’s successes and challenges. More importantly, the website allows credit unions and caisses populaires to benchmark their yearly financial results against those of their peers both regionally and throughout the whole country.
